Whats in a name?

How do I say your name? Well, lets clear that up at the beginning. SAP is an acronym for 'Standard Assessment Procedure' and is the assessment method for New Domestic Properties and extensions on existing dwellings in the UK.

SBEM stands for Simplified Building Energy Model and is the energy assessment procedure for Non Domestic (commercial) properties. It is pronouced S-BEM. Hence the logical name was chosen for our new website: www.sap2sbem.co.uk..

Sap2sbem.co.uk is not a software tool that converts SAP into SBEM, rather, as the name shows we cover everything you need on a new build project , from new build SAP Calculation through to (or 2) SBEM Calculations for commercial buildings. We even cover SAP calculations for extension projects.

Generally, most of our work is with architects and builders, however we also work with many clients who are undertaking the project directly. We love supporting these and seeing these become a success too.
